Man, what a nice review of our show earlier this month in Boston w/ Potty Mouth & Shark?. As I watched those bands play that night I remember thinking how great the line up was, and how lucky I felt getting to be a part of it. Glad this reviewer agreed. “Mean Creek stole the show at O’Brien’s with every heartfelt sound made to encapsulate the soul. The band performed their music with an undeniable sense of emotion that was personified through the deep melodies and lyrical meanings behind each song.”
Can’t wait to play with these bands again in the future! We’ll be playing Death By Audio in Brooklyn w/ Shark?, and Radical Dads on May 16. See you there!

Aurore and I are from Watertown. Our families still live there and in the neighboring town. We grew up in Watertown, spent 18+ years of our lives living there. Watching the streets we grew up on, played as kids, first learned how to play guitar, and started our first bands essentially get turned into a war zone with gunfights and bombs being thrown was beyond surreal and I still feel shaken from it. We feel very lucky that no one we know or love was hurt during this, and it may sound trite to say, but our hearts go out to the victims of this weeks tragedies in Boston. I can’t begin to imagine what something like that touching your life must be like. We’ve had a show booked tonight in Brooklyn for some time now, and we plan on going down to New York tonight with our heads held high. We’ll be playing tonight @ Shea Stadium, so if you’re in the area come down and let’s rock out and try to get back to normal. Yesterday was a rough day for our city, so we’re gonna try to make today a great one. We’ll be playing a benefit show TONIGHT @ T.T. The Bear’s Place, 10 Brookline St., Cambridge, MA w/ The Field Effect, Dan Nicklin of Oldjack, and more. It’s pay what you want, and all proceeds go to Mass General Hospital. Help spread the word, and come rawk out for a good cause!

We recently went into 1867 Recording Studio to demo some new songs for our upcoming EP. We’re releasing a couple of those demos on a cassette that will be in independent record stores around Boston on Record Store Day, April 20. We’ll also be playing @ Shea Stadium in Brooklyn on the very same day (NYC friends, come say hi and let’s rage!)
